Authors Guidelines

Prospective authors are invited to submit high-quality original technical papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the MENACOMM'25 Proceedings and IEEEXplore. All accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEEXplore; publishing of the papers will be subject to IEEE approval of the form and the quality of the papers.
You are invited to submit technical papers through EDAS in topics related to the following tracks:

  • Track 1: Physical Layer and Fundamentals
  • Track 2: Wireless Networks, Connectivity, Security and Privacy
  • Track 3: Emerging Communication Technologies
  • Track 4: Machine Learning and Optimization for Wireless Systems
    • Papers in other related topics not fully covered by the above tracks will be considered as well.

Instructions for Final Paper Upload

Authors of Accepted Manuscripts need to do the following:

1. Electronically Submit the IEEE Copyright Form on EDAS:

The IEEE copyright transfer agreement must be submitted electronically via EDAS:

i. Logging to EDAS and go to your papers page.

ii. Use IEEE Copyright Submission button and follow all steps to sign the copyright electronically.

2. Upload their final camera-ready manuscripts to EDAS

The final manuscript must:

i. Have the copyright notice at the bottom of the first page of the source document. The notice is one of the following:

  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 979-8-3315-1995-7/25/$31.00 ©2025 Crown
  • For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 979-8-3315-1995-7/25/$31.00 ©2025 European Union
  • For all other papers the copyright notice is: 979-8-3315-1995-7/25/$31.00 ©2025 IEEE

Example:

  • Latex users, after your \maketitle add:
    • \IEEEpubid{\begin{minipage}{\textwidth}\\\[40pt]
    Your notice
    \end{minipage}}
  • Word users, including it in the footer on the first page.

If necessary, contact the conference publication chair at alshareeda@itu.edu.tr for the appropriate copyright notice.

ii. Be proofread thoroughly to confirm that it requires no revision.

iii. Be checked for compatibility using IEEE PDF eXpress site. For how to do this step, please visit IEEE PDF eXpress.

You need to log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress and use 62946X for the Conference ID. If you are new to the site, create a new account and do as required. For previous users, they should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. For any questions, contact the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress. If you do not find an answer in the Find Answers tab, go to the Ask A Question tab. Your question will be forwarded to IEEE PDF Support and answered within 3 business days.

Submission Guidelines

  • Original papers are to be submitted via the EDAS MENACOMM’25 submission page: https://edas.info/N32556
  • All submissions should be six (6) pages as a minimum and a maximum of eight (8) printed pages. Papers exceeding (8) pages will not be accepted.
  • Papers must adhere to the formatting instructions of the conference. Format of the paper should follow the Standard IEEE conference templates available for LaTeX and Microsoft Word formats. (download) Available at: Conference Publishing.
  • All accepted papers will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore and will be indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, ISI, Ei Compendex, dblp etc. (Note: 1st MENACOMM 2018 held in Lebanon on 18-20 April 2018, Papers were added to IEEE Xplore on 04 June 2018).
  • Each submission will be blind reviewed by at least three members of the technical program committee and peer reviewers.
  • Acceptance will be based on the paper’s significance, technical quality, clarity, relevance and originality.
  • Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain any plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). A similarity check will be performed on each paper. Also, only limited self-citations are allowed.
  • Non-adherence to the MENACOMM’25 submission policies will result in the paper being dropped from publications in IEEEXplore.
  • For the paper to be published in the conference proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEEXplore.
    • At least one author of the accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full author registration with IEEE member or non-IEEE member rate.
    • Accepted paper must be presented in the conference by the author or one of the co-authors.

Financial Support

In order to receive financial support in the form of registration fees weaving or discount, please send your request to the conference's email: info@menacomm.org.
Please note that the support will be given based on case-by-case examination.
